200 school bags, 200 first days

Notebooks, coloured pencils and a little note in every bag: 'Wishing you a wonderful year.'

In the week before school started, more than 60 volunteers gathered in a gym in Elbasan to fill 200 school bags.

Every bag was packed as if it were for our own child: notebooks, pencils, colours, a water bottle and a handwritten note.

The bags were handed out through neighbourhood teachers, discreetly — because the first day of school should be about excitement, not questions.
